IN REVIEW: Noah's Ark Hotel and Resort, Ma Wan, Hong Kong

If you are in Hong Kong and would want to stay in a place away from the noise and busyness of the City Central, we recommend that you stay at Noah's Ark Hotel and Resort in the Island of Ma Wan. The place will change your common notion of Hong Kong that it is pure building and nothing natural to explore and behold.

The place is beside Ma Wan Beach which makes it best for meditations or some soul-searching activities. The cool breeze and the serenity of the water are so relaxing and refreshing.

Inside the hotel, there were educational amenities which were focused on the life of Noah (and the other creatures) inside the huge ship during the great flood as narrated in the christian scripture. Over-all, the hotel was very family oriented. The staff and crew were very accommodating. Some of the security officers even know how to established rapport with Filipino tourists like us by uttering tagalog words of "thank you" and "kumusta ka." The hotel rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom were filled with supplies from time-to-time.  The only concern that we had were the utensils during breakfast. The spoon and fork were not properly washed. Remnants of foods were observable which forced us to use chopsticks, instead.

In terms of transportation, the hotel is a stopping point for buses which can take you to MTR stations. There is also a nearby ferry station which can take you directly to the Hong Kong City Proper. You can also ride a taxi cab going to where you want to go, but will cost you a lot of money.
