Every time we prepare to travel, we always make it a point to look for
resorts or hotels which offer exquisite rooms with big comfortable beds;
and clean bathrooms complete with amenities of sorts. And how do we do this? We always read latest travel reviews about our prospective resort or hotel before booking and paying. In addition, we also ask friends who already had an experience staying in such place. This routine started since February 2013 when we stayed in a hotel in Boracay and find our room totally different from the one being advertised in their website. It was, really, a lesson learned.
Just recently, we traveled to the province of Albay located in the Bicol Region and opted to stay in Misibis Bay upon the recommendation of our sister-in-law. Our stay in Misibis Bay was truly outstanding and above average. From their friendly staff to the beautiful vicinity and scenery, one cannot complain more. However, there were few constructive feedback that we would like to raise for the betterment of the resort's overall services and facilities. In this review, we will focus our attention to the Garden Villa Rooms where we stayed for 3 nights.
Alright, let's go into the details.
- The entire room was spacious. It has one double-sized bed and a sofa bed overlooking the swimming pool outside.
- The television has cable connection, but movie channels were limited to foreign films. It could have been better if they also have movie channels with Filipino films.
- The WI-FI connection was poor. Since Filipinos are known to be social media aficionados, having a fast WI-FI connection is a must.
- The bathroom was small, but clean. Since it was small, they could've thought of some ideas that can make the bathroom look big.
- The glass door, for both the shower area and toilet, were too heavy to push and pull. It will require you a lot of caution in pushing and pulling it, because too much force might broke the whole bathroom stall.
- Trash cans should be placed on both the powder area and inside the toilet, and not just on the latter. It's a waste of time and energy to go from one area to another just to throw your wastes.
- Shower and door mats were not readily available in the bathroom. And calling the reception for this, is such an inconvenience. Most specially if you arrived from a long journey and just wanted to take a shower.
- While I appreciate so much how they creatively arranged the toiletries (bath gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner) on top of the sink area, I cannot help but complain the toiletry bottles which required me to exert more efforts in squeezing. Thus, resulting to a painful hands. On a lighter note, the aromatic scents coming from those toiletries will make you feel better (specially the lotion).
Overall, we are completely satisfied with our Garden Villa Room.
