The cold weather in Baguio City and the beautiful sceneries around are perfect combinations to trigger your gastronomic adventures. Here's a list of some of the best-tasting restaurants in Baguio City that will surely satisfy your cravings for delicious food:
1. HILL STATION RESTAURANT at Casa Vallejo - This restaurant is located along the famous Session Road in Baguio City. It's very near SM Baguio and Burnham Park. If you don't have a private car, you can just ride a taxi cab and the drivers will take you there. The place is very popular since Casa Vallejo is one of the oldest and historical "institutions" in Baguio City.
At the restaurant, we tried out their Pinoy and Country breakfast platters in the breakfast menu (served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM). Each platter, which is already "generous" for 4 persons, only costs us Php. 580.00; and that is roughly Php. 145.00 only for each individual. The prices are very affordable considering the delicious food selection; and the spacious and peaceful ambiance of the restaurant.
The place is very ideal for couples who'd like to have a romantic and intimate date.
2. VANILLA CAFE at Kamiseta Hotel - This restaurant-cafe is located inside the newly-built Kamiseta Hotel. The place is near Wright Park, and is just beside the Little Flower Convent. Vanilla Cafe and Kamiseta Hotel is getting famous among the middle-class millenials because of its luxurious and elaborate interiors reminiscent of the "bling" lifestyle espoused by some of the world-famous western artists.
At the Cafe, we tried their Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Marinara Spaghetti, Country-style Fried Chicken, Nachos, Daing na Bangus, Corned Beef and Cup Cakes. Prices for these food ranges from Php. 150.00 to 300.00. In my PERSONAL opinion, I found nothing special in these food in matters of tastes and presentation. The only distinction it has, as compared to other restaurants, is the luxurious ambiance.
3. ROAD HOUSE BARN RESTAURANT - If you are a meat lover and would like to "pork out" on delicious steaks, this is the place for you. The restaurant is located at the lobby of Albergo Hotel Residences in Baguio. It is adjacent to Wrigt Park and in the same street where Kamiseta Hotel is located.
We tried their house ribs, barn chicken and t-bone steak. Among the three, the house ribs is heavenly, and very tasty even without the sauce. Prices are ranging from Php. 260 to 900 pesos per single order.

4. CAFE BY THE RUINS - You haven't been to Baguio if you haven't tried eating in this restaurant. They have two (2) branches: one in Upper Session Road and the other one in Shuntung Road (near the City Hall).
We tried their Authentic Baguio Bagnet, Pinikpikan, Beef Ribs Sinigang and the Bounty Salad. As expected, Baguio Bagnet is top choice for all of us. The flavor, crispiness and tenderness of the meat is heaven in our mouths. Prices are ranging from 200.00 to 500.00 for single orders.
Since a lot of people are coming in this restaurant, we suggest that you call ahead and make a reservation to avoid wasting some of your precious time in waiting for a long queue of people.

5. 50'S DINERS - This restaurant is located at Leonard Wood Road, right across the street where the Pink Sisters' Convent in Baguio City is located. The restaurant is a typical old-school american diner. They serve burgers, chickens, milk shakes, fries, steaks and others which resembles an ordinary fast-food restaurant that we commonly have today. A single meal in this restaurant can be good for sharing. Prices are affordable, ranging from Php. 150.00 to 300.00.
As far as I know, there's no reservation in this restaurant. A "first come, first serve" policy is being implemented. Be sure to have extra patience when lining up the queue because it can take you 1 to 1.5 hours to be served, especially during eating hours (lunch and dinner).
