IN REVIEW: Albergo Hotel and Residences, Baguio City

For every out-of-town vacation, it is a must to have a decent hotel or transient accommodation. When I say decent, the rooms and some facilities are worth the price we paid. In other words, it must be consistent to what is being advertised.

Last Christmas Holiday, our family went to Baguio City. Initially, we're trying to book a family room in Manor Hotel, Kamiseta Hotel and the Newtown Plaza Hotel. Unfortunately, they are fully-booked because of the holidays. And so, we ended up booking a family room at Albergo Hotel and Residences.

Here are some reviews that we have for this hotel:
  • POSITIVE: The hotel is located near the major tourist attractions in Baguio, such as the Wright Park, the Mansion, Botanical Garden, Mines View Park and Camp John Hay.
  • POSITIVE: The hotel has a "mini-mall" consists of restaurants, stores, and a Victory Christian Church.
  • POSITIVE: It is also near some Catholic places of worship where Holy Masses are being  celebrated, such as the Saint Joseph Parish Church in Pacdal Circle and the Little Flower Convent.
  • POSITIVE: The hotel staff are all friendly and accommodating.
  • NEGATIVE: The free breakfast in the hotel's function room is very chaotic (at least in our visit). No coordination among the kitchen staff.  Food's waiting time is 30 minutes. No readily available condiments and cutleries.
  • NEGATIVE: No cell phone signal or wi-fi signal in our room. You will need to get out the lobby for signal reception.
